PNE Winter Fair: New holiday event with concerts, entertainment

0

The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) takes a page from its own book. Inspired by their own legendary annual summer fair, the holiday season in Vancouver will now include the all-new PNE Winter Fair.

Taking place every night from December 14-23, the PNE Winter Fair takes the best of what’s on offer during the Summer Fair and translates it into a festive, seasonal and holiday version, complete with twinkling lights, activities and an “all-star” concert lineup of live musical acts.

The Winter Fair, which the PNE calls “BC’s most unique winter celebration,” will feature holiday-themed food and drink; an outdoor holiday market; live shows for children; ice skating at the Agrodome; Christmas-themed dueling pianos; a WinterLights walk-through display; and a nightly tree-lighting ceremony.

The main draw for many, however, may be the concerts, with a different great band every night, from absolute icons like Dionne Warwick to Canadian legends like Jann Arden, and even a closing party that will take boy band fans through all the feelings. Concert tickets range from $39 to $69, and each concert ticket includes admission to the Winter Fair.

PNE Winter Fair concert program:

  • December 14: The Kat & Dave Show with David Foster and Katharine McPhee
  • December 15: Tenors
  • December 16: Tom Cochrane with band
  • December 17: Dallas Smith
  • December 18: Jann Arden
  • December 19: Holly Cole
  • December 20: Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: A Very Postmodern Christmas
  • December 21: Dionne Warwick and the sounds of Christmas
  • December 22: Johnny Reid
  • December 23: A Boy Band Christmas: An Evening of Holidays and Hits with Jeff Timmons, Drew Lachey and Justin Jeffre of 98 Degrees, James Jones of All 4 One, Trevor Penick of O-Town and Ryan Cabrera

“After two years of driving COVID winter events, it was important for us to define our permanent place in the holiday event landscape,” PNE President and CEO Shelley Frost said in a statement. hurry. “This event will be an important annual addition to the annual program of the PNE and will mean that hundreds of new jobs will be created and millions of dollars in positive economic spinoffs will be generated in the regional economy.

Tickets for the Winter Fair will go on sale October 6th. All entertainment elements, aside from the nightly concerts, of the Winter Fair are free with admission.
