In a few weeks, the Dyson Baudo Leisure Center will transform into a concert hall to welcome the brilliant and powerful singer, songwriter and musician Amythyst Kiah, as the first performer of the Esbenshade 2021-22 series.

The concert is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday November 14 at the college’s recreation center.

Because the college is concerned about the health and safety of everyone, MC will continue the mandate of properly wearing face masks indoors on campus, as well as requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for anyone at inside the site. Doors will open 45 minutes before the free concert and vaccination records will be checked prior to admission.

Kiah, who recently performed his song, “Black myself”, on Jimmy Kimmel Live !, released their third album – “Distrustful + strange” – this year, following its release in 2017 from “His glass chest” and its release in 2013 from “To dig.”

“We are delighted to welcome Amythyst to Dyson Baudo for our first concert in Esbenshade”, said Tanya Wilder, director of the Esbenshade series. “It is an incredible honor to be able to provide our community with such a moving and talented artist – and it is possible because of the Esbenshade family.”

The Frederica G. Esbenshade Fund was established in 1980 by Harry H. Esbenshade Sr. and Harry H. Esbenshade Jr., respectively husband and son of the late Ms. Esbenshade of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
