The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hosted a rock movie night under the stars on Saturday, November 13. Families were encouraged to come dressed in their favorite musical genre or wearing a concert t-shirt for a screening of Trolls: World Tour on the hall’s large LED screens. The mezzanine and lawn seating were free, and the doors opened at 6 p.m. for the Texas Children’s Hospital – The Woodlands sponsored event. Pre-movie activities included craft bracelet making at The Pavilion Partners arts and crafts booth, photo ops, and a variety of themed games in the North Plaza.

On-site movie nights allow the Pavilion to fulfill its mission of helping new audiences discover the impact that the performing arts can have on people of all ages. In the movie, Poppy states that true harmony takes a lot of different voices. The performing arts inspire children to form bonds that transcend differences, teaching them that no style of music or art is more valuable than another. The unique connection between popular film and the power of the performing arts makes it a perfect opportunity for The Pavilion to fulfill its mission in a creative and fun way.
